MEET THE FOUNDER
Najah Elessie
A proud graduate of Howard University, Najah holds a degree in Business and Marketing, which laid the foundation for her early career in entertainment and events in Los Angeles. She later returned to school to pursue her calling in healthcare, earning her nursing degree and working in the medical field for the past 20 years.
Her greatest passion lies at the intersection of hospitality and speaking about mental health, inspired by the tragic loss of her brother to suicide. In his honor, Najah launched The Diamond Supper Club in 2017, an intimate supper club series that brings people together over thoughtfully curated meals, creating space for community healing, meaningful conversations, and emotional nourishment. Wounds to Wisdom is an intentional branch that grew that focuses on Black men’s mental health.
Through her work, Najah continues to use her life experiences, professional expertise, and deep empathy to foster environments where healing is not only possible but celebrated.

MISSION & VISION
Wounds to Wisdom is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and intimate supper club series committed to the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of Black men. In a sacred atmosphere of brotherhood, vulnerability, and community, we gather Black men for deep, transformative conversations over incredible food and live music.
Our mission is to normalize mental health dialogue while fostering healing, connection, and authentic support.
"This movement is deeply personal. I created Wounds to Wisdom in honor of my brother, who lost his battle with mental health and passed away from suicide. His life and struggle fuel my purpose: to ensure other Black men have spaces where they are seen, heard, and genuinely supported."
